After founding ArtroGruppo in 2006 with Stefano Di Gennaro, Massimiliano Nocente, Alessandro Antonio Patricola, and Emilio Romanini, he co-founded the MAGA group (Medicina Avanzata del Ginocchio e delle Articolazioni) in 2024 with Gabriel Buntin, Giampiero Cazzato and Lucrezia D’Aviera. This group focuses on sports traumatology (ankle, knee, and shoulder), as well as traumatic and degenerative pathology of joint cartilage, specifically in arthroscopic and prosthetic knee techniques.

Curriculum Vitae
After graduating cum laude in Medicine and Surgery in 1991 from the University of Rome "La Sapienza", he specialized in Orthopedics and Traumatology in 1997, also with top marks at the same university.
He served as a medical officer in the Navy aboard the "Nave Stella Polare" in 1993.
From 1994 to 1997, he was a "visiting fellow" at the Sports Medicine Department of the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, under Dr. Thomas Wickiewicz.
He later held a position under Professor Vittorio Calvisi at the Minimally Invasive Orthopedic Surgery Unit of the Clinica De Cesaris.
He obtained a Master's in Arthroscopic Surgery in 2004 from the University of L'Aquila.
From 2000 to 2005, he was a senior medical officer in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the ASL in Rieti, focusing on arthroscopic surgery.
He completed a Management Training Diploma for Medical Managers "Ippocrate" at SDA Bocconi in 2005.
He taught "Anatomy of the locomotor apparatus" from 2003 to 2006 at the University of Rome "La Sapienza".
He has authored numerous articles and spoken at many national and international conferences. He is a member of the Italian Society of Orthopedics and Traumatology (SIOT), the Italian Society of Knee Surgery, Arthroscopy, Sports, Cartilage, and Orthopedic Technologies (SIGASCOT), the Evidence-Based Orthopedics Working Group (GLOBE), and a regular member of the Italian Society of Arthroscopy (SIA).
In 2006, he co-founded ArtroGruppo with
Stefano Di Gennaro, Massimiliano Nocente, Alessandro Antonio Patricola
and
Emilio Romanini, addressing major orthopedic pathologies and various elective surgical procedures for degenerative and traumatic conditions of the musculoskeletal system.
Since 2024, he has been a part of
MAGA
(Advanced Medicine for the Knee and Joints) with Gabriel Buntin, Giampiero Cazzato, and Lucrezia D’Aviera, focusing on
sports traumatology
(ankle, knee, and shoulder), and particularly on the traumatic and degenerative pathology of
joint cartilage,
including
arthroscopic and prosthetic knee techniques.
